Seeking a Genetic Counselor for a 3-4 month project based position. This role will be full remote.

Job Summary:

• The Counseling Specialist speaks directly with patients to provide information about the Program, address questions, and communicates next steps and requirements.
• The Specialist follows-up with patients to assist in fulfillment of program requirements.
• Counsel and provide guidance and information to patients during the program process
• Responds to incoming information or communication in a timely manner.
• Speaks to patients, conveying appropriate information
• Carefully documents all patient encounters
• Serves as a continued source of contact for assigned patients. Escalates questions, concerns, or complaints as appropriate to Manager or other internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited genetic counseling program.
• Applicant for Active Candidate Status or board-certified with the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
• Holds or able to obtain genetic counseling license or temporary licensure in appropriate states
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High level of empathy and interpersonal skills to interact with patients
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay: $90/hr
