Our client is a growing cosmetic manufacturing company located in Los Angeles! They develop, manufacture and distribute their own full line of skin care and color cosmetic products and are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join their team!

Title: Lab Technician

Location: Los Angeles, California 90045
Shift: 6:30am-3pm
Pay: $20-25/hr (Depending on experience)

Contract to hire

Summary: The individual performs the analysis of various types of samples for physical testing such as water content by KF titrator, water activity, melting point, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, density, and coordinates stability study.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Test in-process, bulk, stability samples, and finished goods for water content by KF titrator, water activity, melting point, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, density, and wet chemistry methods
Set up and coordinate stability study with a Chemist
Follow GMP procedures and comply fully with all regulations (e.g. FDA, etc)
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments as required
Prepare volumetric solution and perform standardization as needed
Maintain all documents and retain samples
Follow lab safety and properly dispose hazardous wastes
Keep work bench area organized at all times and clean glassware
Any additional tasks required to meet company goals

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience:

High school or associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of cosmetic laboratory experience.
Experience with physical testing of cosmetics, such as pH, viscosity and specific gravity.
Detail-oriented with high sense of urgency.
Energetic, team-oriented personality with positive attitude
