Our client is a global manufacturer of food ingredients & bio-Industrial, animal nutrition products and they are looking for a Microbiologist to join their distinguished team!

Located in Eddyville, IA

1 year contract with extension; Possible conversion to FTE
Pay: $23-27/hour
Responsibilities:

•  Assist with general lab duties which include but are not limited to: preparation of sterile growth medium, stock solutions, and reagents, as well as general lab cleaning and dishwashing.
• Perform aseptic sampling of manufacturing process.
• Perform direct microscopy and plating while adhering to clean room protocols
• Prepare, inoculate, manage shake flasks using aseptic technique.
• Prepare samples for analysis and analyze samples using a variety of analytical instruments such as a microscope and spectrophotometer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a science field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field.
• Laboratory experience via academic or prior position(s).
• Capable of independent work, but seeks clarification, as needed, prior to starting tasks to provide deliverables.
• Experience in the set-up and operation of lab-scale bioreactors.
