Pay rate: $20- $21/ hr.
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Shift: 3rd- overnight
Contract length: 3 months
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Sample Technician to join our team. The main responsibility of this position is to manage processes before testing, including patient preparation, specimen collection, identification, preservation, and processing. As a crucial member of the pre-analytic and analytic laboratory departments, you will assist with general clerical and laboratory duties to support the overall operation of the lab.

The main responsibility of this position is to manage processes before testing, including patient preparation, specimen collection, identification, preservation, and processing. As a crucial member of the pre-analytic and analytic laboratory departments, you will assist with general clerical and laboratory duties to support the overall operation of the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, sort, and store incoming specimens
- Enter patient requisitions and double-check for accuracy in data entry
- Provide general support functions across departments
- Perform clerical duties such as filing and organizing lab documents
- Take inventory, order, and stock supplies as directed by supervisors for the pre-analytic department
- Verify and enter patient demographics, consents, and insurance information with manual requisitions, including collection and received time/date information
- High school diploma or equivalent paired with 0-2 years of experience in a similar role (preferred but not required)
- Ability to analyze data, accurately document, and record results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
