An exciting new opportunity to join a leading biotech research company! Come join a growing team focusing on clinical research and development process for new therapeutics!

As a Molecular Scientist, you will collaborate with scientists to support molecular projects through assay development, validation, and execution phases by following SOPs, as well as support development of new procedures and improvement of those existing SOPs. This role is perfect for a PhD graduate with extensive qPCR experience to grow further into NGS workflows and searching for career advancement opportunities.


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Salary
80K-85K base (not including bonuses!)


Essential Functions 

  • Expert within molecular testing techniques for qPCR
  • Assist in advancing and implementing next-generation sequencing (NGS)
  • Independently design, execute experiments, and analyze results while effectively communicating findings.
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes with a focus on enhancing productivity and optimizing performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to establish project timelines and achieve key milestones.
  • Provide guidance within molecular techniques, data analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous refinement of laboratory procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving scientific challenges as they arise.
  • Stay informed on the latest integrate innovative practices into workflows.
  • Contribute to the writing, reviewing, and editing of contract and grant proposals.


Qualifiations

  • PhD is highly preferred in molecular biology, genomics, or other related degree.
  • Masters Degree is accepted with min of 5 years of related experience in professional industry or academic core
  • Experience in clinical research laboratory, NGS lab or core facility.
  • Next generational sequencing workflow (Illumina or Ion Torrent) preferred
  • Experience in quantitative PCR (qPCR) is a MUST
  • Understanding of current GLP or CAP/CLIA/ISO standards
