Our client is a trusted partner in the Chemical production industry and they are seeking additional help on their Maintenance teams for a Maintenance Technician!

Located in Montgomery, IL

Shift: 1st shift 630am-3pm
Pay: $30-40/hour
THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance on both production (blending and packaging) and facility equipment

• Utilize and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders and equipment history

• Manage spare parts and maintenance inventory

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues

• Install and repair various industrial components, including electric and air-operated diaphragm pumps, actuated and manual valves, and piping (stainless steel, PVC, copper, etc.)

• Rebuild and refurbish equipment components as needed

• Support capital improvement projects and coordinate with third-party contractors as required

• Ensure all maintenance work aligns with safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness standards

• Lead or assist in team projects and provide training when necessary

• Ensure installation of equipment adheres to manufacturer specifications

• Perform other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in a maintenance technician or mechanic role in a commercial or manufacturing setting required
• Experience with chemical processing, boilers, welding, pipe cutting, or industrial design is a plus
