Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Location: Holly Springs, NC – Fully Onsite
Pay: $13.00/hr. - $16.00/hr.


About the Role:
In this vital role, you will join a Biotechnology Manufacturing organization at as a Manufacturing Associate, supporting critical operations in the Services Area. You will help execute and maintain the manufacturing of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) drug substances, supporting floor operations with general direction.
This is a fully onsite, physically active role that includes material handling, equipment cleaning, and buffer/media preparation—requiring strong attention to detail and adherence to regulated processes.

Shift:
  • Initial: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday (10-hour days)
  • Will transition to 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shifts after startup phase, based on business needs

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete work in accordance with cGMP, SOPs, MPs, JHAs, and CFRs
  • Follow proper gowning and aseptic techniques
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Hands-on setup, cleaning, and monitoring of equipment and assigned areas
  • Perform manual handling of materials; comfort with physical labor required
  • Prepare and transfer buffers and media
  • Weigh and dispense materials for use in manufacturing
  • Execute washroom tasks including cleaning small- to large-scale equipment
  • Monitor and run processes per documented procedures
  • Accurately complete documentation (equipment logs, EBRs, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of manufacturing and/or regulated experience
    OR
  • Completion of NC BioWorks Certificate Program
  • Experience in regulated industries such as biotechnology or pharmaceutical
  • Basic understanding of GMP principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems like EBR/MES, DeltaV, or Electronic Quality Systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
