Are you passionate about food science and innovation? We are seeking an Assistant Scientist to join our Technical Services team. In this hands-on lab role, you’ll help develop new enzyme-based applications for food products, support customer projects, and play a key role in bringing innovative solutions to market.

Pay: 55K-60K DOE

Responsibilities
- Conduct lab experiments to support new product development and improve customer formulations
- Assist in creating at least two new food applications each year
- Provide scientific data for use in webinars, technical documents, and marketing materials
- Help design and test new products from concept through commercialization
- Support customer needs by responding to technical requests and participating in pilot trials
- Collaborate with research institutions and university labs
- Maintain lab equipment, organize workspace, and ensure safety and compliance
- Document findings in lab notebooks and present results clearly
- Submit timely customer visit reports and monthly activity summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field
- Experience with lab equipment like HPLC, GC, or spectrophotometers is a plus!
- Strong hands-on laboratory experience
- Highly organized with strong time management abilities
