Injection Molding Process Engineer I
1 year contract
38.00-51.50 DOE

We are seeking a highly skilled Injection Molding Process Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in plastic manufacturing and deep expertise in developing and sustaining optimum molding processes for medical device components. This position will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality production through scientific molding techniques and robust project management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain optimum injection molding processes for medical manufacturing device components.

  • Apply Decoupled Scientific Molding Principles to develop and optimize molding processes.

  • Run projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

  • Troubleshoot and improve process areas within the molding department.

  • Lead and support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams.

  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports and process documentation.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the plastic manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Decoupled Molding Principles.

  • Proven project management experience.

  • Exceptional troubleshooting and process improvement skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with customers.

  • Experience in writing technical reports and delivering effective presentations.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master Molder Certification strongly preferred.

  • Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not required).

  • Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment is a plus.
