​We are hiring a QC Chemist to work with one of the largest specialty chemical manufacturers in North America! If you have a life sciences degree and experience with gas chromatography, we encourage you to apply!

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 10a-6:30p; Friday 8a -4:30p

Location: Covington, KY

Pay: $25-$27/hr

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed analytical analyses of raw materials, in-process chemicals and final
  • Perform day-to-day testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, with a focus on GC.
  • Assist with development and validation of new test methods.
  • Support product development and research projects as needed.
  • Generate Certificates of Analysis and maintain proper documentation.
  • Support instrument calibration and lab upkeep.
  • Assist with vendor/customer quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Help implement quality systems such as cGMP, ISO, GDP, and GLP.
  • Other Duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or other related sciences is required. 
  • 1-2 years of industry laboratory experience preferred. 
  • Basic experience with analytical testing techniques such as Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and UV/Visible Spectroscopy (UV/VIS), including sample preparation and data recording
