We’re seeking experienced Microbiologists ready to advance their careers in GMP manufacturing support for a globally recognized biopharmaceutical organization with a strong presence in both R&D and commercial manufacturing. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with microbiology experience in production or QC settings - not research - who are passionate about quality, compliance, and cleanroom standards.

Location: Piscataway, NJ (with occasional travel to South Plainfield)

Salary: $70,000/year
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine environmental monitoring in classified cleanroom environments (air, surface, and personnel sampling)

• Collect, incubate, and document viable and non-viable particle samples for compliance and trending

• Test water systems including WFI, RO, and purified water, as well as compressed gases

• Execute microbiological assays: endotoxin testing, bioburden analysis, microbial limits, gram staining, and growth promotion

• Coordinate microbial ID testing with internal teams or external labs

• Operate autoclaves and maintain lab cleanliness

• Accurately record data and maintain documentation in Excel and controlled systems

• Support audit readiness and participate in internal/external inspections

• Travel locally between Piscataway and South Plainfield sites (~1x/week after initial training)

Qualifications:

• 4–5 years of microbiology experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or similar discipline

• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and regulatory compliance (GMP/GLP)

• Strong knowledge of EM sampling, water testing, and routine microbiological assays

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently in a regulated setting

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

Top 3 Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field
2. Minimum 3+ years in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment (QC Microbiologist or GMP Production background preferred)
3. ​​​​​​​Hands-on Environmental Monitoring (EM) experience is essential
