Hiring for an experienced phlebotomist with previous hospital experience to start working immediately with a well-established medical center! 

Pay: $20/hr

Schedule: M-F 8a-5p 

Location: Shreveport, LA

Type of Job: 3-4 month assignment with possible extension / conversion 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately obtaining blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedures with minimum customer discomfort.
• Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection and handling.
• Correctly identifies patient and properly labels specimens.
• Correctly identifies proper priority for collection process.
• Utilizes resources for proper collection and processing of requested tests.
• Understands and follows all safety, infection control, and OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.
• Understands and follows all HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• 3-5 years of experience performing venipunctures. 
• Good Attendance and computer skills.
