Rapidly growing Biotech Manufacturer is seeking a Research Animal Technician near Dallas, TX! This is a great opportunity to work with an innovative company that has cutting-edge technology!
Must have previous Animal husbandry experience to qualify! Vet technicians who are looking to make an impact within oncology research would be a great fit for this role!
Schedule: Mon-Thu 6a-4:30p (weekends and holidays as needed)
Pay: $18-$24 (depending on experience)
Type of Role: Contract to perm (6 months)
Location: 100% On-site- Plano, TX

Research Animal Tech Responsibilities:
- Responsible for animal husbandry and euthanasia.
- Monitoring, handling, and caring for research animals; including providing feed, water, health checks and cage changes.
- Maintain study records and preclinical research activity on each research animal.
- Preclinical experiment (injection, bleeding, euthanasia, necropsies)
- Animal healthcare, preparation, and follow-up (monitoring, tagging, weighing, and calipering)
- Assist with the receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories.
- Clean room facility maintenance and experiment preparation
- Handle radioactive materials.
Research Animal Tech Experience/Education:
- High school diploma with 2-3 years of related work experience. Prefer Associates Degree with 1-2 years of related work experience
- Interest in working regularly with radioactive isotopes.
- Interest in working with animal models of cancer
