We’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Chemist to join our client's team on a direct hire basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for testing raw materials and finished products, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met. This is a great opportunity for someone with a science background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: 2nd shift- 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Location: Bowling Green, SC Area

Rate: $22-$26/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality testing on lab samples using established procedures and precise methodologies
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as Particle Size Analyzer, FTIR, Viscometer, Karl Fischer, and Microscope
• Record, analyze, and communicate test results to the production team for timely decision-making
• Recommend formula adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
• Manage product labeling through WERCS and maintain accurate batch records in SAP
• Prepare and package customer samples for shipment
• Keep laboratory equipment calibrated, clean, and organized
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, compliant work environment
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards

Qualifications:

• AS or BS Degree in Chemistry or a related field
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred
• Basic understanding of chemistry and lab techniques
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with SAP is a plus
