Seeking a Chemical Inventory Technician for our client to keep operations running smoothly by managing stock levels, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as the primary point of contact for inventory needs.

Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $20/hr. - $22/hr.
Location:  Billington Heights, NY

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong knowledge of products (chemicals, hardware, tools) and inventory systems

• Monitor and replenish stock in production bins and cabinets

• Conduct inventory inspections and chemical compatibility checks

• Add chemicals to tanks per established guidelines and coordinate deliveries

• Use hand scanners to track inventory and place replenishment orders

• Handle, deliver, and organize materials using pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)

• Respond to hazardous material spills following safety protocols and PPE requirements

• Partner with production supervisors on bin/part changes

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements

• Participate in meetings, training, and occasional site travel

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)

• 1–2 years of experience in inventory/material handling and chemical compatibility

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to safety and organization
