We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our growing Quality Control Lab. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing a wide range of analytical testing on production batches and raw materials to ensure compliance with established quality standards.

 

Job Title: Quality Control Technician 

Location: Mecklenburg County, NC

Pay Range: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time | 4x10 Hour Shifts (Wed–Sat) | Rotating Shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

Shift Availability: Open to all shifts, including day, middle, night, and Wed–Sun coverage

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate testing and documentation of production batches and raw materials
  • Interpret test data and report in-spec or out-of-spec results promptly
  • Execute written test methods with consistency and reliability
  • Conduct raw material evaluations and communicate findings
  • Maintain and manage product retains, labeling, and storage
  • Support lab operations by calibrating equipment and reporting issues
  • Adhere to ISO, safety, and quality compliance standards
  • Monitor and manage lab supply inventory levels
  • Work across various shifts as needed to support team coverage
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment
  • Assist with lab projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned

 

Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field strongly preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a laboratory setting (QC or production lab preferred)
  • 2+ years preferred in hands-on lab roles within manufacturing or production environments
  • Strong grasp of standard lab procedures and quality control principles
  • Understanding of chemical/material analysis and data interpretation
  • Familiarity with ISO systems and lab safety protocols

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Regular use of PPE (lab coats, gloves, goggles) required
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and perform physical lab tasks as needed
