Our esteemed client is a globally renowned Biotechnology company that specializes in drug substance development and manufacturing and they are seeking an additional Maintenance Technician to join their growing team!

Located in Thousand Oaks, CA

1 year contract with extension
Shift: 3rd shift -- Hours 12 Hour shifts (5pm-6am OR 6am-5pm) 3/4-4/3 work schedule either front half (Sun-Tues every other Saturday) or back half (Wednesday- Friday every other Saturday) of week.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 base pay + 15% differential for night shift


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair production mechanical equipment and systems

  • Support maintenance and operation of all facility systems, subsystems, and equipment

  • Assist with the design, installation, testing, and operation of manufacturing and support equipment

  • Ensure equipment and subsystems comply with all regulatory and company standards

  • Keep equipment areas in a constant state of inspection readiness

  • Identify training needs and assist with knowledge transfer where needed

  • Evaluate and improve maintenance practices and documentation

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate, compliant documentation

  • Coordinate external contractors for equipment repairs and modifications

  • Collaborate with internal teams on new equipment installations or upgrades

  • Attend all required safety and compliance training

  • Maintain assigned technical qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Strong knowledge of filling, freeze-drying, and packaging equipment maintenance
  • Proficiency with pumps, valves, seals, motors, and lubrication systems

  • Solid understanding of cGMP standards and predictive maintenance practices

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation (e.g., P&IDs, SOPs)

  • Comfortable working with hazardous chemicals, pressurized systems, and various voltages

  • Basic computer and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently

  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 15 feet
