A leading chemical manufacturer is seeking a Chemical Operator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values safety, quality, and efficiency while delivering cost-effective and responsive service to clients.

  • Pay: 22/hr.

Summary/Objective
The Chemical Operator is responsible for operating chemical plant machinery and managing entire chemical production processes. This includes monitoring instruments, adjusting valves and gauges, interpreting chemical reactions, and ensuring production meets all quality and safety standards.

Essential Functions
  • Operate various process equipment including reactors, distillation systems, filters, extractors, pumps, and centrifuges in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Load and unload raw materials, intermediates, and finished products safely and efficiently.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor control instruments and indicators.
  • Observe and record chemical reactions and changes in product composition or properties.
  • Regulate temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels to maintain optimal process conditions.
  • Keep accurate logs of gauge readings, production data, and equipment performance.
  • Communicate job status and shift information effectively with team members.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment and processes.
  • Safely handle and maneuver drums, containers, and pallets using appropriate tools and equipment (including forklifts).
  • Collect and test samples to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Maintain plant cleanliness and adhere to housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) best practices.
  • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment (or equivalent).
