Pay: $20-$22
Schedule: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm
Type of Job: 6-month contract with possible extension

Laboratory Animal Technician Daily Tasks: What you will do:
- Provide daily care and monitoring of research animals, reporting any health concerns.
- Manage animal breeding colonies, including mating, weaning, animal identification, and tissue biopsy.
- Maintain accurate breeding and husbandry records and respond to researcher inquiries.
- Change cages, ensure adequate food/water, and maintain clean and sanitized work areas.
- Perform animal handling, restraint, transfers, and humane euthanasia when required.
- Monitor and document environmental conditions and report equipment or compliance issues.
Laboratory Animal Technician Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in laboratory animal care, veterinary technician work, or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to handle and restrain research animals safely.
- AALAS ALAT Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire).
