Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialty alumina products across the country and has become a major supplier for the ceramic, refractory and glass industry. This team produces a broad range of high quality aluminas as well as other refined mineral products on a daily basis. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team!
Pay: $115k-$135k salary

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components and systems using 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Develop, apply, and maintain engineering calculations and accurate bills of materials to support mechanical design and production.
- Independently lead large capital projects ($1M+) from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to improve performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within mechanical systems and processes.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing plant equipment and systems.
- Evaluate, select, and coordinate the purchase and installation of new mechanical systems.
- Create and update CAD designs for mechanical components and systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) required.
- Experience leading large scale projects is preferred
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering calculations, and production processes.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
