As our Manufacturing Hygiene & Sanitation Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our facility safe, compliant, and running at peak efficiency. You’ll lead cleaning and sanitation programs, tackle microbiological challenges, and collaborate across teams to implement best practices that directly impact product quality and safety. If you’re passionate about precision, continuous improvement, and making a visible impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment, this is the role for you.
 
Pay: $72k-$108k (depending on years’ experience)
Schedule: 1st shift Mon-Fri
Type of Job: Direct Hire
Location: New Albany, OH

Manufacturing Hygiene & Sanitation Specialist Daily Tasks: What you will do:
  • Develop, update, and implement cleaning and sanitation procedures for production equipment.
  • Lead cleaning validation protocols and optimize sanitation processes in collaboration with operations and R&D.
  • Manage site-wide hygiene and sanitation programs, including monitoring critical utilities and environmental conditions.
  • Investigate microbiological issues, support audits, and ensure regulatory compliance (GMP, ISO).
  • Provide training and guidance to employees, standardizing best practices across teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product safety.

Manufacturing Hygiene & Sanitation Specialist Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (preferred: Chemical Engineering).
  • 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial microbiology, or contamination control.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence process improvements.

Preferred Skills/Certifications:
  • Experience with Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems.
  • Hygienic design or sanitary standards certifications.
