We have a part-time, on-site position available at our facility in Mansfield, TX. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory experiments, prepare trial formulations, conduct chemical and materials testing to evaluate samples, identify preferred recipes and write procedures, and carry out other research and development activities as needed. Duties also include interpreting test data, carefully documenting observations, maintaining the lab space and drafting procedures based on best practices.

• Pay: $23-24/hr
• Hours: ~20 hours/week (working some time between 8a-6p M-F)

Qualifications

· Hands-on laboratory skills, including performing bench experiments and managing lab equipment.

· Strong analytical skills for collecting and interpreting chemical data, troubleshooting instruments and contributing suggestions for improvements.

· Attention to detail and ability to thoroughly and accurately document experimental results.

· Proficiency in MS Office products.

· Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or student working toward B.S. Chemistry degree, is preferred.

· Prior experience in formulation, analytical chemistry or materials testing is an advantage.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
