Our client, a leading manufacturer in the cosmetics and personal care industry, is seeking skilled Compounders to join their production team in Roanoke County, VA. The Compounder plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate preparation and mixing of raw materials to produce high-quality liquid products that meet all specifications and safety standards.

Pay: $20/hr + shift differential ($0.75 for 2nd shift, $1.00 for 3rd shift)
Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

  • 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM


Terms: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Accurately weigh and mix raw materials according to established formulas and batch sheets.

  • Monitor and adjust production processes to maintain consistency and quality.

  • Perform equipment setup, operation, and calibration for each production run.

  • Conduct in-process quality checks to verify product integrity and compliance with specifications.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, following all cGMP and safety procedures.

  • Record production data and batch information accurately for traceability and compliance.

  • Assist with inventory control for raw materials and finished products.

  • Perform standard cleaning and sanitation of equipment per work instructions.

  • Support and help train new Compounders as needed.

  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Coursework or certification in Chemical Technology or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in compounding, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing preferred.

  • Prior experience in a production or batch processing environment is highly desirable.


Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.

  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

  • Solid understanding of safety standards and quality control procedures.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, scales, and mixing systems.

  • Basic problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
