Our client is seeking a Sanitation Technician to support a state-of-the-art laboratory specializing in core pathology services. This role provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective laboratory operations while gaining exposure to research environments and expanding professional experience.

Pay: 18-20/hr.
Shift:  7:00AM - 3:30PM (with OT opportunities)

Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining animal caging and related equipment to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, descaling, and preventive maintenance on cage washers and autoclaves, including inspection and cleaning of filters and spray manifolds.

• Properly process clean caging and accessory equipment, including adding bedding to cages and autoclaving cages and supplies.

• Support sanitation and decontamination efforts across all facility areas.

• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of disinfectants and sanitation practices.

• Experience or familiarity with autoclaves, cage washers, conveyor systems, bedding dispensers, bottle fillers, and high-pressure or steam cleaning equipment is preferred.
  
  Physical job - lots of breaking down and cleaning of cages.  Need to be able to follow proper animal handling / cleaning protocol and comfortable working with mice.
