Operations and Expediting Coordinator

Direct Hire opportunity

Hours: 2nd shift (3pm-12:00pm) M-F some weekends

Reports To: Plant Manager

Job Summary:
The Operations and Expediting Coordinator supports plant operations by coordinating customer orders, production planning, shipping, and inventory activities. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers and internal departments to ensure accurate order processing, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and manage customer orders in the ERP system (Deacom), including after-hours orders as needed

  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams

  • Coordinate order distribution with production, transportation, and customer service

  • Assist with dispatching, Bills of Lading, and direct ship logistics

  • Ensure hazardous materials shipments comply with regulations and maintain required certifications

  • Manage inventory adjustments, quality data entry, and sales order corrections

  • Support month-end reporting, invoicing, and freight reconciliation

  • Maintain production reports and perform general administrative data entry

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems

  • Good math, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
