Industrial Maintenance Technician – Equipment & Facilities (2nd/3rd Shift)

Rate: $35-$40/hr (Flexible depending on experience)
Shift: 2nd and 3rd available
Position Summary
We are seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our client – a leader in the beauty and personal care industry. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing maintenance of production and facility equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role supports daily plant operations by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance.
Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair filling and packaging equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, ovens, heat shrink machines, and pneumatic systems
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on 120VAC, 480VAC, 24VDC, 3-phase systems, VFDs, DC drives, and basic instrumentation
- Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components, wiring, and controls
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, PLC diagrams, and technical drawings
- Provide basic PLC and controls troubleshooting support
- Maintain facility systems such as compressed air, water, drains, doors, docks, and general building infrastructure
- Perform basic pipe fitting and mechanical installation as needed
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO, arc-flash protection, and PPE requirements
- Document work orders, repairs, and parts usage in CMMS/ERP systems
- Coordinate with outside contractors and internal teams
- Support continuous improvement, safety, and 5S initiatives
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

3–7+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills

Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, meggers, etc.)

Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and CMMS systems)

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off-shifts as needed
