Senior Director of IT - LIMS & Laboratory Systems

Reporting to: CIO
Location: Must be local to Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week with flexibility over time)

Overview

The Senior Director, IT – LIMS & Laboratory Systems will lead the Testing Division’s LIMS program and supporting laboratory systems. This role owns strategy, delivery, and optimization of LIMS platforms, including a major upgrade of STARLIMS from v11 to v12, and serves as a trusted advisor between business leaders and IT.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise LIMS program and related lab systems

• Own and deliver the STARLIMS v11–v12 upgrade and future enhancements

• Partner with laboratory and business leaders to align systems with operational and regulatory needs

• Act as a senior-level advisor, presenting program updates and recommendations to leadership

• Drive standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement across lab systems

Qualifications

• Senior IT leadership experience supporting laboratory or regulated environments

• Proven success leading LIMS implementations, upgrades, or transformations

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

• STARLIMS experience preferred, but top LIMS leaders from other platforms will be considered
