The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise in CRISPR-based genome editing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and single-cell technologies. This role requires strong experimental design capabilities, hands-on laboratory experience, and the ability to interpret complex data while collaborating in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute functional genomics assays, including:
    • CRISPR-based editing (e.g., RNP delivery, knockout/knock-in strategies, Perturb-seq)
    • Single-cell sequencing technologies
    • Spatial transcriptomics
    • CITE-seq and related multi-omic platforms
  • Personally design CRISPR guides, perform transfections/infections, select edited cells, and validate genome edits.
  • Prepare next-generation sequencing libraries and conduct associated quality control procedures.
  • Perform single-cell sample preparation, library generation, and QC assessments.
  • Define and implement appropriate quality control measures across experiments.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges independently and collaboratively.
  • Interpret experimental outcomes, propose follow-up studies, and contribute new investigative approaches.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records in compliance with established policies.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in coordination with team members.
  • Assist with procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment.

Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree (with 6+ years of relevant experience) in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Hands-on experience designing and executing CRISPR assays, including guide design, delivery methods, selection, and validation of edited cells.
  • Direct experience with NGS library preparation (not limited to data analysis).
  • Practical experience with single-cell technologies, including sample preparation, library generation, and QC.
  • Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, and gel electrophoresis.
  • Strong cell culture skills, including maintenance of multiple cell lines and sterile technique.
  • Ability to manage and perform multiple functional genomics experiments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary, collaborative environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in functional genomics workflows.
  • Experience with laboratory automation platforms and workflow optimization.
  • Experience integrating multi-omic datasets.
