Position: Quality Inspector
Location: Roanoke County, VA
Shift: 3rd Shift (11pm-7am); training on 1st shift (7am-3pm)

Overtime: Some weekends, potentially every other weekend for OT
Pay: $19/hr. per hour (with $1.00 shift differential)
Terms: Contract to Hire

What You’ll Do:
  • Examine in-process and finished products for defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Conduct physical and visual tests to evaluate product quality and consistency.
  • Review, record, and maintain documentation of inspection and test results.
  • Monitor and support adjustments to production processes to meet defined quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control measures and test data.
  • Train production personnel on quality inspection and documentation procedures.
  • Participate in internal quality improvement projects as assigned.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  • Perform additional duties as required; responsibilities may vary slightly by location.

What You’ll Need:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree or technical training preferred).
Experience:
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or quality control (preferred).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment (preferred).

Skills and Abilities
  • Quality Control: High proficiency in identifying and documenting product non-conformities.
  • Product Inspection: Skilled in visual, dimensional, and physical inspection techniques.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP): Working knowledge of GMP and documentation protocols.
  • Good Documentation Practice (GDP): Ability to accurately complete and maintain inspection records.
  • Process Improvement: Skilled in recommending and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with attention to detail in identifying root causes.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative and supportive in a production team setting.
  • Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in inspection, testing, and documentation.
