Facilities Technician
Our client is a global medical device organization and is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the operation and maintenance of central utility systems across multiple facilities. This role is responsible for monitoring plant equipment, responding to alarms, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the reliable operation of boilers, chillers, pumps, and water treatment systems.
Located in Fort Worth, TX
2 year contract
Pay: $30-35/hour
Shift: Thursday to Monday 11pm to 7am - *Need to be able to work 12 hours when another operator is on PTO or sick* (4 hours before starting shift or 4 after to cover Days or evenings)
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and operate boilers, chillers, pumps, and related utility plant equipment to ensure reliable system performance.

Track and respond to building automation system alarms, escalating issues as needed.

Perform water testing and treatment checks for cooling towers and related systems.

Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment inspections using a computerized maintenance system.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate maintenance and operational documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.

Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support facility-wide utility systems.
Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or technical/trade school training with 2–3+ years of experience in facilities, utilities, or plant operations.

Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, or water treatment systems.
- Trade experience such as electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC, or boiler operations preferred
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or laboratory utility plants preferred
