Medical Device Assembler / Operator

📍 Santa Rosa, CA | 🕒 4/10 Schedule | 💰 $22–$24/hr (up to $30 with strong experience)

Contract: 6 month contract-to-hire
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Optional overtime Fridays: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

A global medical device company dedicated to improving patients’ lives through innovative therapies for vascular disease is seeking a Medical Device Assembler / Operator to join their manufacturing team in Santa Rosa, CA. This role supports increased production as the company transitions product manufacturing from another site.

You will work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment assembling precision medical devices used in life-saving procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical device components using small hand tools, microscopes, and precision instruments

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing instructions

  • Perform in-process quality checks and report issues as they arise

  • Work with small components, adhesives, and measurement equipment

  • Maintain cleanroom protocol and controlled environment standards

  • Identify and communicate safety, quality, or process concerns

  • Record production data using electronic systems/iPads

  • Assist with line troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support lean manufacturing and 5S efforts

  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and technicians to resolve manufacturing issues


Work Environment

  • Class 8 cleanroom environment (full gowning / “bunny suit” required)

  • Some work may occur outside the cleanroom in specialized labs

  • Work with microscopes and very small components

  • Fast-paced production setting


Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience (medical device preferred)

  • Experience working with small parts or precision assembly

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain high quality standards

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

  • Good attendance and reliability

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Basic math skills

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but flexible for strong candidates.


Preferred Experience

  • Cleanroom manufacturing experience

  • Microscope work

  • Medical device assembly

  • Small component work such as:

    • electronics assembly

    • jewelry making

    • sewing

    • crafting or other detail-oriented work
