Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join their team in Pacoima, CA!

Location: Pacoima, CA
Job type: Contract – hire (90 days)
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm, fully onsite (may need to report to other company sites according to need)
Pay rate: $48/hr. -$52/hr.

Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to support our finance team during the transition from Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA. This role ensures accurate day-to-day accounting operations in a dual-system environment, manages the month-end close, oversees accounts payable/receivable, and supports system testing and process improvements. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented CPA with strong manufacturing accounting experience, ERP expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments while driving compliance and efficiency. This position offers long-term leadership growth following successful SAP implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate in a dual ERP environment (SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics).
• Manage and support the monthly close process, including balance sheet and P&L analysis.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and reconciliations.
• Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Assist with system testing, data validation, and process alignment during SAP implementation.
• Prepare process flowcharts and accounting procedures for both SAP S/4HANA and legacy systems.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, and Supply Chain to support system and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA credential required.
• MBA with CPA preferred but not mandatory
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas).
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or SAP (SAP S/4HANA highly desirable).
• Prior experience in ERP system transitions or supporting dual-system environments.
• Experience in manufacturing or regulated manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to report to any company facility, sometimes on short notice.
