Manufacturing Associate – Drug Product Assembly & Packaging

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate to support assembly and packaging operations within our multi-product drug product manufacturing facility. Working under limited supervision, this individual will assist senior team members in executing routine unit operations in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Location: Onsite in Fremont, CA | Hours: M-F 6am - 2:30pm | Type: 6-month contract with opportunity for extension


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the setup, changeover, and minor adjustments of automated and semi-automated assembly equipment used in drug product manufacturing.
  • Retrieve components, materials, and tooling from storage areas to prepare for production operations.
  • Assist in real-time troubleshooting of mechanical and component-related issues, escalating as needed.
  • Perform assembly and packaging operations, including support for visual inspection and filling activities when required.
  • Ensure all production areas are properly stocked with components and supplies prior to the start of operations.
  • Execute room cleaning, sanitization, and waste disposal in compliance with established safety and environmental procedures.
  • Complete all documentation accurately in batch records, logbooks, and controlled documents in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Verify equipment calibration and ensure appropriate equipment is utilized per controlled procedures.
  • Maintain production areas to 5S standards and adhere to all safety protocols, escalating unsafe conditions promptly.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or completion of a biotechnology/vocational training program, preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Foundational math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
