Market Research Consultant

Contract: 6 mo +
Pay: $90-95/hour

Job Description

The Market Research Consultant will be responsible for leading all aspects of market research and business analysis for assigned brands and therapeutic areas (TAs). This role requires strong analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify market research (MR) needs for the business, including both immediate and long-term planning
  • Develop comprehensive MR plans using appropriate research methodologies
  • Design, execute, and interpret MR studies; clearly communicate insights and recommendations
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on past, current, and future insights related to products/projects
  • Analyze and report syndicated and secondary market data to support performance measurement and market understanding
  • Utilize diverse data sources to answer complex business questions and build compelling insight-driven narratives
  • Create and deliver presentations with clarity and confidence
  • Support and guide analytical business questions for projects led by Analytics & Insights (A&I) colleagues
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and high-quality insights delivery
  • Manage project budgets and complete all required documentation for approvals
  • Coordinate with A&I team members to provide unified support for marketing and senior leadership
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority in a complex organization
  • Quickly develop deep product, customer, and performance knowledge
  • Actively contribute to planning sessions and influence marketing strategies and tactics

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in market research within a large product marketing organization
  • Minimum of 10 years supporting pharmaceutical brand marketing research
  • Strong expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Proven experience managing regulatory and ethical requirements in pharmaceutical market research and data protection
  • Experience in cardiology and/or primary care markets (cardiac or diabetic conditions preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
