Facility Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a Facility Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and machinery. This role involves conducting routine maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The Maintenance Mechanic will support the upkeep of key production systems while adhering to all safety and quality standards.

Shift: 1st Shift
Rate: $30 – $35/hr
Type: Contract to hire

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing support equipment including mixing tanks, gearboxes, boilers, air compressors, and HVAC units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues involving mixing tanks, diaphragm pumps, and positive displacement pumps to maintain operational efficiency.
• Assist with installation and setup of new manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Run and maintain power, steam, and water lines required for manufacturing equipment.
• Follow strict safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) to ensure machinery is properly de-energized prior to maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and quality standards while performing all maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a related field required
• 1+ years of experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to maintain manufacturing equipment
