About the Role

We are looking for a detail-driven compensation professional to own the end-to-end administration of variable pay programs for a high-performing national sales organization. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of Finance, Sales, and HR. 
Location: Onsite in Downers Grove, IL | Hours: M-F 8-5 | Type: 1-year contract


What You'll Do

  • Own the calculation and processing of sales-linked compensation in alignment with established plan terms and payment cycles.
  • Maintain data integrity across compensation systems through structured audit and validation processes.
  • Ensure adherence to plan policies and internal controls throughout each processing period.
  • Build and maintain recurring dashboards, payout summaries, and performance trend reports for sales leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Synthesize data across multiple platforms to support forecasting, quota modeling, and plan effectiveness analysis.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for field inquiries related to compensation mechanics, policy interpretation, and system questions.
  • Proactively identify workflow gaps and lead initiatives to improve automation, reduce error rates, and streamline operations.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience administering variable or incentive compensation programs within a large sales environment (100+ person org a plus).
  • Strong analytical instincts with the ability to work through ambiguous, multi-source data sets.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; comfortable with Word and PowerPoint for reporting and communications.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, Salesforce preferred.
  • Demonstrated discretion when working with sensitive compensation data.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and a service-oriented approach to internal partnerships.
