A growing medical device manufacturer is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support quality assurance activities across components, subassemblies, and finished products. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and established Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.

Located in Santa Rosa, CA

Contract to hire
Shift: 
1st shift Mon-Thu 5am-330pm
Pay: $24-27/hour
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished medical devices using standard measurement tools and techniques
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials; support disposition activities including rework or rejection
  • Accurately record inspection and testing results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Maintain organized and compliant documentation, including inspection records and test results
  • Review Device History Records (DHRs) to ensure completeness and compliance prior to product release
  • Conduct product testing to confirm conformance to specifications and performance standards
  • Support calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and test equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, manufacturing, engineering) to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Participate in root cause investigations and contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Operate within a cleanroom environment, adhering to all applicable procedures and protocols
  • Follow established procedures and uphold quality standards with consistency and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required AND 3–6 years of quality control experience within the medical device industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience using tools such as microscopes, CMM, Instron testers, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and snap gauges
