We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in proposal development, technical writing, and financial tracking to support critical public health initiatives. This individual will play a key role in managing grant documentation, tracking funding, and supporting high-impact programs within a laboratory sciences environment.


Job Title: Project Manager (Proposals & Technical Writing Focus)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire 
Location: Richmond, CA 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00/hour


What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage projects related to grant funding, proposals, and financial operations
  • Track budgets, expenditures, and funding allocations across multiple projects
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, summaries, and analyses for leadership
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, grant proposals, and program reports
  • Manage and organize documentation for grant submissions and compliance requirements
  • Support grant administration lifecycle, including reporting, invoicing, and documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive operational efficiency
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and ensure alignment with funding requirements
  • Identify risks and support mitigation strategies to keep projects on track


What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in project management within life sciences, public health, or a regulated environment
  • Strong experience with:
    • Budget tracking & financial analysis
    • Grant funding and administration
    • Proposal writing and technical documentation
  • Excellent written communication skills (this role is heavily documentation-focused)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Public Health, Life Sciences, or related field)
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus (not required)
