Electrical Test Engineer II – Alcon
Location: Irvine, CA | Onsite 5 days/week
Contract: 12-Month - Potential Extension or Conversion

Wavecrest is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer II to support sustaining engineering projects involving electro-mechanical and optical systems for one of our clients to support, manufacturing processes, and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support manufacturing, testing, validation, and engineering change activities
• Develop solutions for EOL components and complex production issues
• Improve product quality, yield, reliability, efficiency, and cost
• Provide engineering expertise in tooling, materials, fabrication, and assembly processes
• Lead projects and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Manufacturing/fabrication experience, preferably in medical devices
• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly/test, machining, sheet metal, injection molding, pneumatics, fluidics, or optics
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), GD&T, inspection processes, and mechanical design
• Strong communication and project management skills
• CAD experience with CREO, SolidWorks, OrCAD Allegro, or Zemax preferred
